Amy Lucas
Amy knows what anxiety looks like. She helps parents navigate the aftershocks of birth trauma, postpartum depression, and the relentless worry that keeps them from enjoying life with their baby. Amy is straightforward, grounded, and deeply empathetic. She doesn’t sugarcoat, but she does hold space for the very real mix of grief, fear, and resilience her clients carry. Clients trust her because she names what’s hard and helps them build a path through it.
When motherhood doesn’t feel like you thought it would.
Painful experiences around birth, loss, or postpartum can leave you feeling like you don’t even recognize yourself anymore. You want to be present, calm, and connected — but instead, you’re caught in a cycle you can’t seem to break.
You’ve always been the one who figures things out. The one who keeps it together. Which makes it even more frustrating that this time, you can’t just “push through.”
Maybe you…
- Can’t stop replaying the birth or loss in your mind — it distracts you even when you’re trying to focus on your baby or your work.
- Feel anxious all the time, like you’re waiting for something bad to happen.
- Snap at your partner or older kids, even though you’ve always been the patient one.
- Feel flat — like nothing brings joy, even things that used to matter most.
- Pull away from friends and family, because they don’t get it… and you don’t even know how to explain what’s happening.
You are not broken, and you’re not alone. These are the very real aftershocks of birth trauma, postpartum depression, anxiety, or grief.
In therapy, Amy creates a space where you can tell your story without judgment, learn tools that calm your mind and body, and slowly start to feel like yourself again — or maybe even a stronger version of yourself.
