Kiran Bains
Kiran is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with over a decade of experience supporting adults, couples, and parents through life’s challenges.
My professional background as a Licensed Practical Nurse and Social Worker has shaped the way I approach therapy: with compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for the mind-body connection. I’ve spent many years working in mental health and perinatal care, walking alongside clients as they rebuild confidence, find clarity, and reconnect with what matters most.
As both a clinician and a mother, I have a special passion for helping women and couples navigate the transitions of fertility, pregnancy, and early parenthood. I understand how easily stress, exhaustion, and shifting identities can impact both personal wellbeing and relationships. My goal is to create a safe, validating space where you can process, heal, and grow at your own pace.
I offer counselling in English and Punjabi, and my work is grounded in empathy, cultural understanding, and collaboration.

Therapeutic approaches and modalities
My approach is person-centered and attachment-based, meaning I work alongside you to help you feel understood, supported, and capable of change.
I integrate several evidence-based modalities, including:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – identifying and reshaping unhelpful thoughts and behaviours
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – developing flexibility and aligning actions with personal values
- Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) – building on strengths and small, achievable goals
- Narrative Therapy – helping you re-author your story from a place of empowerment
- The Gottman Method for Couples – improving communication, trust, and emotional connection
